Reached 350k followers today and wanted to share my philosophy on my content which got me to this milestone.

Back to the beginning.

When my account started it was threads which were the main post daily. Threads went viral regularly. Threads which were text based and pictures. It wasn’t uncommon for a thread to have 100k+ likes. Some had 250k likes. This type of viral thread could generate 5-10k followers. This amount of likes and followers doesn’t seem to happen so much now.

However, threads are making a comeback. Text and picture threads.

This brings me to my next point. Your timeline needs to look interesting. A mix of video, pictures, questions, threads and long form. If you have just text on a timeline this can look quite boring.

Ideas for content:

• Threads

• Picture quote

• Long form

• Video

• Short posts

• Quote posts

• Polls

• Illusions

• Brain Teasers

My most viral posts recently have been threads and quiz questions. This will change but you need trial and error to find out what your audience and the algorithm like.

Do not feel like you have to stick to one type of niche in terms of content. Some people tie themselves down to one niche. Even meme accounts can change up posts now and again.

Keep content authentic. Does your content interest you. If it doesn’t then stop posting content like that. If you don’t like your content why should X users.

Host Spaces on a regular basis. Post your Space on your timeline. Spaces are an X hack.

Be self-critical. Analyse the data and pivot to stop your content from being boring.

Boring content is the biggest mistake you can make on X. You want your content to stimulate the reader.
