Reading is a Superpower

Why You Must Read

Hello and Welcome to monetisationwithwise,

If you read every day of the year then this newsletter is affirmation and if you do not then maybe this will spark your interest.

Think about how much you/read and listen to books.

Three quick parts to this email -

Part 1 - Why do you not read?

Dopamine hits are everywhere in gossip, mobile phone use, TV series, and movies. Extremely difficult to avoid and they stop us from taking part in activities with long-term benefits. Cheap dopamine hits take minimal effort.

Reading gives short and long-term benefits but reading is much more of a challenge. You have to stay present with the words you are reading (dopamine takes you away from this). Your concentration is challenged and your brain is fired up.

You have not developed a reading habit.

Part 2 - Starting to Read

Replace a bad habit with a good habit.

Next time you go for the remote control for episode 5 of a 24-episode box set on Netflix spend a couple of minutes reading an excellent book in a genre you love.

Make it a simple short time so you’re not putting pressure on yourself to start.

Do this every day and slowly increase the time you read, this may happen anyway because reading is so awesome.

Part 3 - Why You Must Read Forever

Super intelligent people have written the books you are reading passing on their knowledge directly to you.

Your brain is fired up and your imagination and creativity are ignited.

Your writing and storytelling will improve consciously and subconsciously.

Reading is a single good habit that replaces many bad habits.

Conversation becomes more stimulating as you discuss books with others.

You realize there is not enough time to read and gain all this precious knowledge.

Book authors are the real superstars of the creative world.
