Historical Heroes
Who is the Biggest Influence on Your Life from History?
Great Historical Figures
Happy Sunday,
A topic now on a subject which is highlighted by every significant modern man and woman in today’s society.
Their historic heroes or source of inspiration.
Reading historical books will uncover your historic inspirations. If you don’t have anyone to look up to then read more.
Past figures that I admire greatly are Marcus Aurelius, Steve Jobs, Dale Carnegie and Henry Ford.
There are more but I put to paper the men that came to mind straight away. These men changed the landscape in such a way that our lives were never the same again.
Their mission and purpose was so strong that nothing pushed them off their chosen path.
Aurelius wrote the most insightful thought provoking book in meditations. He was completely different to tyrants that went before him. He chose a Stoic path.
Steve Jobs changed the world with tech. I’m typing this newsletter on his phone.
Dale Carnegie’s book ‘how to win friends and influence people’ is one of the greatest books I have ever read. Changing my attitude towards relationships and people forever.
Henry Ford was a next-level genius. In the words of Elon Musk - ‘production is one of the most challenging and difficult things to do in this world’. Henry Ford produced a motor car which changed the world when every man and women was trying to put him off.
These figures inspire me.
Look back at history and find your heroes. They must inspire, educate, teach and open your mind to new ideas.
You may think this task of reading about history is unimportant. I promise you it is not.
Read and enjoy.
I wish you the very best always,
Tony
